The International Network of Universities of Applied Science consists of multidisciplinary universities with high quality standards and an international orientation. The primary objective of the network is to support deep-rooted cooperation and foster collaboration in internationalization and, thus, international understanding. The exchange and pooling of the respective universities’ capabilities and strengths advances the internationalization of all the institutions and, as a result, strengthens their position in the international academic landscape. In order to promote sustainability, existing partnerships between the universities are being progressively developed and institutionalized at multiple levels and across various disciplines, with the aim of establishing a long-term and strategic multi-institutional partnership.
The network was officially founded on 4 July 2011 at the FH Campus Wien, University of Applied Sciences, with the signing of a memorandum of understanding. The memorandum lays down the planned areas of collaboration, guiding principles, and cooperation objectives, as well as strategic guidelines.
