The student ID card offers you a range of functions that you should use during your time studying at Munich University of Applied Sciences. You will receive your personalised student ID card on the second Orientation Day.
Important: should you lose your student ID card, please inform the library and the information desk at Lothstraße 34 immediately and give your personal details. You are liable for any damages resulting from a delayed notice of loss. You can obtain a new ID card for 10 Euros in room A31 at Lothstraße 34 on Tuesdays between 8:30 a.m. and noon.

• access to buildings, laboratories and computer rooms
• payment in university’s cafeterias
• payment of photocopies
• login for online services (e.g. exam registration)
• identification during examinations
To be able to use your student ID card to pay in the cafeterias and at photocopiers, you must load money onto the ID card. You can do this at various loading stations located in the university buildings. ID cards can be loaded using cash (notes only) or current account cards (German accounts only).
Following successful re-registration, the validity period of the ID is reprinted on the card using a special machine. Cards can be validated (extension of the validity period on the ID card) on the machines approximately one week before the semester starts. Validation machines can be found in the following buildings:
Lothstr. 34 Building A, hallway on the ground floor (opposite room A 23)
Lothstr. 64 Building R, in the left center of the entrance area
Karlstr. 6 Building B, main entrance near the elevator
Am Stadtpark 20, next to the self-service terminal near the Cafeteria or at the entrance Avenariusstr.
