Then the DeepDive Master Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation offered by HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences and its entrepreneurship center, the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), is the right fit for you. Either as founders of your own business (entrepreneurs) or as corporate innovators with our industry partners (intrapreneurs), your project team will be supervised by a professor and a coach to come up with innovative solutions for the digital businesses of tomorrow.
Through a learning-by- doing approach with the right balance between theory and practice, you will acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to start your own business or innovate in an organizational environment.

Designing digital solutions in mobility, health, food,
manufactoring or your topic
We are faced with different challenges such as climate change, digitalization and globalization. Therefore, we need a new generation with a drive for societal changes, an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset, and problem-solving skills. A PWC study pointed out that there is a high importance on digitally enabled solutions and transformations in companies, which is another focus area in our DeepDive Master.

The DeepDive Master is a full-time master programme designed to take three semesters.You must complete a total of 90 credits to graduate from the program. The curriculum consists of compulsory courses on entrepreneurship and digital technologies as well as electives from the master programs of the seven faculties. The centerpiece of the program is the project.
The study program paves the way to start your own business as a founder or co-founder. Therefore, you can also get additional support from our start-up consultants at the SCE regarding further programmes and funding.
Graduates of the DeepDive Master find jobs as intrapreneurs with established companies, e.g. developing digital products or services, innovation management or shaping digital strategies.
Admission requirements and application process

For applicants with a German bachelor’s degree:
If you have a German bachelor’s degree you can apply from 2nd of May till 15th of June via this link online.
You do not have to send any documents via post.
Please fill in the application form online and upload the following documents to prove that you meet the admission requirements:
- Bachelor degree certificate (showing your grade) including Diploma Supplement (if you have this)
- Proof of English language skills (level B2) - see also FAQ for accepted tests
- Proof of knowledge in the areas of intra-/entrepreneurship and digital transformation and implementation of projects - see also FAQ for examples of experiences
- Project description in English (2-3 pages; see FAQ for more details)

For applicants with a non-German bachelor’s degree:
In order to apply at Hochschule München,candidates with a bachelor’s degree from a non- German university will have to prove that their bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a German first degree. This means that candidates have to apply at first to uni-assist (the service center for international students) to validate their degree.
After this first verification process, you will receive a preliminary documentation (VPD) and can apply to HM Hochschule München University of Apllied Sciences.

Please submit the following documents to uni-assist:
- Certified copies of the original bachelor’s degree certificate
- Certified translations of the above if certificates are issued in another language than German or English
- Certified copy of your official Diploma Supplement or in case that you did not receive this, a certified copy of your Transcript of Records
- Copy of your passport
Please review the homepage of uni-assist thoroughly, as they have updated some document requirements. For example, Indian applicants now need to submit an AFS certificate. You can find the specific document requirements for your country here.
After evaluation of all of your documents which can take up to eight weeks (sometimes even longer), uni-assist will send a preliminary documentation (VPD) to you.
Once received, please submit the following documents to HM here (access from May 2 to June 15)
- Bachelor degree certificate (showing your grade) including Diploma Supplement (if you have this)

If you have a non-German Bachelor or diploma degree, please use uni-assist for prior evaluation of your certificates before applying to the master's programme at Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
uni-assist evaluates if your university degree/certificates fulfil the general criteria for studying in Germany.
uni-assist also converts your grades to the German system of grades. [Please note that the grading scale at German universities goes from 1 = very good to 5 = failed]
Please note that uni-assist will need 4-6 weeks to issue the preliminary review record (VPD).
You have to upload the VPD to our online application platform. uni-assist WILL NOT FORWARD your documents to our university.
Self-assessment of qualification
Before you submit your documents to uni-assist and pay a fee for their review services, we recommend converting your grades on your own by using the Bavarian formula. This tool will give you a first orientation if your grades probably meet the qualification requirements for access to the master programme.
Another helpful link to check whether the university you graduated from is considered as a higher education institution, is offered by anabin(language is German only).
If you wish to apply to the master's programme, you must first register for the online application process. This will ensure that only you can access your information on Primuss which is the Online Application Platform of Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
You can submit your online application only during the official period from May 2 to June 15.
On the platform you will be able to add the degree programme for which you would like to apply and then enter your personal data, educational background, pre-study details and further required documents.
In case of passing the first examination of the documents, an invitation to the admission interview will follow.
"The applicant's analysis and problem-solving competence and reasoning and communication skills in particular are examined in the admission interview on the basis of the project description and the other papers submitted for the preselection" (Study and Examination Regulation §2 para. 2)
Admission interviews will take place around the end of July. For those applicants who cannot travel to Munich for the interviews, virtual participation will be made possible.
It will be published at the beginning of April 2025.
