Mathematical Methods in Medical Physics

Applying mathematical modeling, simulation and algorithm development in the field of radiotherapy, including optimization strategies, localization of tumors and detector development.

Stochastic modeling from a Bayesian perspective in several fields of applications

Basic stochastic modeling using Bayesian approaches for parameter estimation with associated optimization strategies, model fitting, random equations and mixture models. Several fields of application, e.g.: Modeling and design of optical metrology in the field of computer vision for the position estimation of objects (camera-/angulation or lateration-based) with a focus on the simulation of uncertainties.
