Courses
The general training programme is open to all international doctoral candidates. It also includes some courses in English, such as Scientific Paper Writing. In addition, there are courses that are specially tailored to the needs of international doctoral candidates.
German as a foreign language
Do you want to learn German or improve your German language skills? Check the "German as a Foreign Language" courses (Deutsch als Fremdsprache) offered by the Department of General and Interdisciplinary Studies (FK 13). Please see the course catalogue for details.
Registration: Interested doctoral candidates are asked to contact the lecturer of the respective course by e-mail and to appear in the course room on the first day of class. There is no formal enrolment process.
Postdocs
The HM offers postdocs the opportunity to conduct practical and applied research in highly topical and exciting subject areas.
Furthermore, we offer individual advice on career paths and personal development within and outside research.
The International Office provides international researchers and guests with practical information and advice on general issues.
How to find accommodation
The International Office team is happy to help with questions about accommodation in Munich and the surrounding area. It is not possible to arrange accommodation, but the team can provide tips and advice to make the search for accommodation go more smoothly. Contact: staff-mobility-io@hm.edu .

Graduate School
Our Graduate School is the contact point for all international doctoral candidates who come to HM for a doctorate or a temporary stay. We provide information about events and are happy to advise you individually. We also provide buddies who help you get started at HM.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer support with finding accommodation.
