Development of an ICF-based competency manual for nursing care of adults with ASD

Objective:
The aim of this project, scheduled until the end of 2024 and for three years, is to develop an ICF-based competence manual for nursing care of adults with ASD. The research design of the project is multi-method in order to be able to cover the research object/research question - nursing care and autism - as comprehensively as possible in perspective. The multi-methodological design includes the involvement of a trialogical expert advisory board and a systematic literature research including preparation and evaluation, as well as the use of qualitative research methods, for example in the form of focus groups and, if necessary, telephone interviews.

The outcome of the project should be:

• a. an ICF-based competence manual for the nursing care of adults with ASD as well as
• b. a training concept for knowledge transfer.
