University Governance
At the head of HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences is the executive committee, which is particularly responsible for managing and developing the university. It consists of the president, three vice presidents and the head of administration. The executive committee is supported by the senate, the university council and the extended executive board.
The senate consist of elected representatives of the professors, students and academic and administrative staff, as well as the women's affairs officer. It is responsible for passing the university's legal resolutions.
The university council consists of the members of the senate as well as eight external members from the fields of academics, culture and business. Its role is similar to that of a supervisory board.
The extended executive board consists of the members of the executive committee, the heads of the 14 departments and the women's affairs officer. It advises and supports the executive committee, determines priorities for the university budget and draws up the development plan for the university.
