International Tourism Management Certificate
Your international tourism management know-how, intercultural experience and English skills – officially certified by HM.
The International Tourism Management Certificate can be obtained by all international and local students at our university. It promotes international management and leadership expertise in the tourism industry and its diverse areas. Moreover, the certificate strengthens our students’ intercultural competence and language skills.
All students who have successfully completed 25 ECTS can request the ITMC. The certificate is free of charge – and a valuable add-on for building a professional career in international tourism!

- are well prepared for international job markets
- have acquired extensive international tourism management expertise
- are a strategic global thinker with strong intercultural and interpersonal skills
- have solid tourism-specific English skills
- have gained sound technical and methodological knowledge in tourism management
All local, international and exchange students at HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences can obtain the ITMC. Students need to earn 25 ECTS by completing courses listed in the module catalogue. The modules are congruent with the Courses in English at the Department of Tourism. Students must meet each module’s entry requirements and register for examination in time.
The certificate lists the courses (including grades) you have completed to earn the required 25 ECTS. It has the official university seal and the signature of the University President.
Yes. You should…
- register for your courses as usual, meet the relevant entry requirements and register for examination on time
- fill in the International Tourism Management Certificate Request Form and email it to the International Office of Department of Tourism after you have completed the required 25 ECTS.
The certificate will be available for download via PRIMUSS.
No. Obtaining the certificate is free of charge for all students at HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences.
To obtain the certificate, students must earn 25 ECTS by successfully completing
- the module R551/2 “Intercultural Competence II” (5 ECTS)
- additional modules from the module catalogue (20 ECTS)
