At HM Hochschule München University of Applied Sciences, understanding the local language is seen as key to an enriching experience. Therefore, all international students begin with a one-week German language and culture course (levels A1 and B1 – CEFR*) before the programme begins. Weekly language classes continue through to week five, helping participants learn key aspects of the language, culture, and history. In addition, multi-national teams work together to develop intercultural communication skills.
Beyond studies, the programme provides opportunities to connect with local students and staff, explore German culture through field trips, and join in social activities.
