Internationalisation@home
Internationalisation@home
Internationalisation@home encompasses all measures that ensure that all doctoral candidates benefit from an international environment during their doctorate and can develop international and intercultural competences. Not only during a stay abroad, but also during the doctoral period at HM, doctoral candidates can acquire further international training and prepare themselves for the increasingly international job market.
The free foreign language courses offered through the Department of General and Interdisciplinary Studies (FK 13) are open to both employed and enrolled doctoral candidates at HM. Ten different languages are offered, including French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, Portuguese and Turkish.
Doctoral candidates can take the exam at the end of the course and obtain a certificate. Unfortunately, participation by external doctoral candidates is not possible.
Registration:
Academic staff members can register by e-mail via Ms Mahalia Wandelt-Peröti ; deadline for the summer semester: February 28, 2024; deadline for the winter semester: September 15, 2024
Enrolled doctoral candidates will find the registration details under "Belegung Masterstudierende und Promovierende".
The International Club (I-Club) of HM, a meeting point for students from Munich and all over the world, is also open to doctoral candidates. International and German doctoral candidates are invited to join the trips and the regular international get-together (Get2Gether) or to get involved in the I-Club themselves and actively plan events.
