How can I find accommodation?

  • Be cautious of fraudulent rental advertisements. Watch out for the following warning signs:
  • The listing is only written in English.
  • The landlord communicates exclusively via email and does not provide full contact details (e.g., full name, phone number, or address).
  • The price is unusually low for Munich:

  • Single rooms: average €500 – €800 per month
  • Two-room apartments: average €800 – €1200 per month

  • You are asked to transfer money through services like Western Union or similar platforms before your arrival or without having seen the apartment. Never ever send money in advance!
  • The photos of the property look overly polished, as if taken from a catalogue.
  • By staying vigilant and following these tips, you can avoid common pitfalls and find safe and reliable accommodation in Munich.
