Welcome Service

Hochschule München provides a Welcome Service for international exchange students to ensure a smooth transition to life in Munich and at the university.

Full-time HM students ("mentors") provide support with various aspects of your arrival and settling in, such as:

• Picking you up at the airport or train station
• Assisting with move-in at your student residence hall
• Registering at the Residence Registration Office (KVR)
• Choosing your courses
• Organising leisure activities

The Welcome Service is coordinated by the International Office. You can sign up for it as part of your HM application. Once you've been accepted, your mentor will contact you a few weeks before your arrival.

Please Note:

Students enrolled at the HM Business School (Department 10) have access to a separate Buddy Service. This programme cannot be applied for online. After your acceptance to HM, your department will provide you with further details about their Buddy Service.
