It depends on your school and university certificates from your home country, as well as on the chosen degree programme. In any case, you need a German language certificate (level C1), as the language of teaching is German. More information about accepted German tests can be found here .
Applicants from Ukraine:
- You have middle school diploma?
Then you have to attend a German Studienkolleg for 1 year before you can apply directly to a university.
- You have a middle school diploma and already studied min. 1 year in Ukraine? Then you usually can apply for for the same or a related subject in Germany.
Unfortunately, we do not offer any preparatory German language courses at beginners or lower levels. All applicants have to acquire the relevant German language skills outside of HM.
You can use some of the language courses of "virtuelle Hochschule Bayern" for free to get started or to support a course you are already taking elsewhere: www.vhb.org
If you already are at a higher level of German (B2), you can register for the DSH Preparation course at our department for general studies.
If you then get enrolled at our institution, there is a chance for reimbursement of the costs.

The Sprachen - und Dolmetscher Institut (SDI) has opened it's German language course to Ukrainian refugees. Please contact them directly for more information.
The "Garantiefonds Hochschule - Bildungsberatung" can offer scholaships for German language courses for refugees. Contact them directly.
