EXaHM
Application-oriented digital examination system at Hochschule München
What is EXaHM?
EXaHM is an automation framework for digital exams: every step, from booting up the computers, through switching to exam mode and starting the exam, right through to the end of the exam and shutting down the computers, is carried out automatically via a central server. Following initial trials with digital exams, Prof. Dr. Georg Braun developed EXaHM to enable safer and more user-friendly digital exams across the university.
Thanks to a secure desktop environment, EXaHM enables application- and competence-oriented exams. A wide range of software (e.g. Excel, MATLAB, Visual Studio Code) can be used during the examination. Examination files are regularly backed up. External access is not permitted. The university’s existing computer rooms are used for the examinations.
