Application Master international students – International programs
Application period
Winter semester: 02.05. – 15.06.
(Exception: "Business Administration" 02.05.-31.05.)
Degrees with restricted access ("zulassungsbeschränkt"): 02.05-15.07.
Summer semester: 15.11. – 15.01.
To that deadline your application has to be completed online. In case of admission, original documents and certificates have to be presented for the enrolment.

The following degree courses can be studied in English:
Master Photonics
Micro- and Nanotechnology(most courses in English, but German level A2 mandatory)
Paper Technology
Business Administration: Digital Technology Management (only winter semester)
Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation(only winter semester)

Please note that the exam board of each department will decide about admission.
1. Completed degree
Completed degree (Bachelor's degree or diploma) in the same or a related subject with a minimum of 6 theoretical semesters, at least with the converted grade "good" and 180 ECTS points.
For some master degrees, you can apply with a certified translation of your degree certificate directly. For some master degrees you need preliminary check of your Bachelor's certificate through uni-assist. Please note that the check trough uni-assist doesn’t replace the application under www.hm.edu/master-bewerbung(in German only).
You only need a preliminary check of your Bachelor's certificate through uni-assist for the following English-taught master degree courses:
Business Administration: Digital Technology Management
Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation
Please also add a transcript of records.
You can get an estimation whether your Bachelor's certificate is usually recognized in Germany on the government website www.anabin.kmk.org (in German only). This is, however, only an estimate and no guarantee for admission to a place in a Master's programme.
2. Relevant work experience
Relevant work experience (if not a part of your previous degree program) and, for continuing education Master's degrees, at least 1 year of professional experience.
3. Entrance qualification test
Some departments may set mandatory entrance qualification tests.
4. Proof of English language skills
B2 for English-taught Master degrees
German A2 for Micro- and Nanotechnology

Applications for more than one course are possible. You must submit a separate application form for each degree programme.
