Stay abroad – leave of absence
Information on taking a leave of absence to study or intern abroad
If you are spending a semester abroad, you must remain enrolled at HM. So please ensure you re-register properly for the semester you will be spending abroad. You can find detailled information on how to do that on our Re-registration page.
You can take a leave of absence for your semester abroad. It is up to you to decide whether a leave of absence is necessary in your case. If the semester abroad is compulsory, a leave of absence is not possible.
