Recognition of qualifications obtained abroad
Credits earned during your semester abroad may be recognised, provided there are no significant differences in the skills acquired.
This means that you can substitute HM courses with courses taken at the host university and will no longer need to take them at HM.
Section 4 of the Rahmenprüfungsordnung für Bayerische Fachhochschulen (RaPO) (the examination regulations for Bavarian universities of applied sciences) applies.
For students of HMBS and Department of Tourism (Dept 14) : The recognition of courses taken during a semester abroad is handled by the relevant department. Please contact the International Relations office at HMBS or the International Office at Dept 14 directly.
Please also read here the general information on the recognition and transfer of academic achievements not completed as part of a semester abroad.
