Teaching strategy in the higher education development plan
The central aim of the Teaching Department is to ensure that students receive an excellent education. In line with this commitment to quality and Innovation in Education, HM pursues five strategic objectives, which are set out in the University Development Plan.
Teaching in line with major societal trends
Hochschule München actively promotes measures aimed at further developing Teaching and Learning in line with societal megatrends – entrepreneurship, sustainability, intercultural understanding and digitalisation.
The HM ensures that teaching is accessible, thereby guaranteeing the participation of students with disabilities. To this end, lecturers are supported in making digital teaching and assessment formats, in particular, accessible.
HM has a wide-ranging network and collaborates with numerous educational partners worldwide. Through teaching and learning in a global context, HM prepares its graduates for the cross-cultural and cross-border challenges of the 21st century.
At HM, a focus on competences is put into practice as the guiding principle in the development of teaching formats and content. Through consistent constructive alignment, the quality of competence-based digital teaching and assessment is continuously improved. The technologies used – EXaHM, the Moodle exam server and Mahara – represent a diverse range of digital assessment methods at HM.
