DESIRE is a project funded by the Interreg Alpine Space Programme. It addresses the lack of interoperable tools for data-driven digital spatial planning in Alpine territories, where fragmented data, limited scenario-analysis capacity and low participation hinder effective planning. The project will develop a modular Digital Planning Ecosystem (DPE) that supports participatory decision-making by enabling public authorities to generate harmonized, standardized GIS-based thematic maps at different spatial scales and compare alternative strategies across sustainability themes.
