A glimpse into the world of science at HM: Researchers explain their projects

How autonomous driving using AI is becoming safe in cities | HM Research makes a difference!

Researchers at Hochschule München are developing solutions to make autonomous driving possible in our city centres as well. HM Professor Fabian Flohr and his team at the Intelligent Vehicles Lab are particularly focused on the safety of vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and cyclists.

Innovative testing method developed for safety glass | HM Research makes a difference!

The new method developed by Hochschule München (HM) enables more efficient and precise testing of toughened safety glass (ESG), which is used in modern glass façades. Whilst conventional testing methods are often time-consuming and costly, the new technology significantly simplifies the testing process whilst also enhancing the safety of the installed glass elements.

Gaining a better understanding of star formation | HM Research makes a difference

The birth of stars is a key process in the universe – a prerequisite for the emergence of life. To gain a better understanding of these processes, HM Professor Christine Maria Greif and Mark Hutchison (PhD) have developed a tool that makes the analysis of star-forming regions faster and more reliable.
