Good scientific practice
Hochschule München is committed to international standards of good academic practice. The principles of good academic practice form the basis for reliable research and scholarship. They represent a responsible approach to the processes and individuals involved in academic work.

Ethics Committee
Researchers at HM may consult the Ethics Committee for advice should ethical issues arise in the course of research projects.
In its assessment, the Commission draws on the research ethics codes of international and national professional associations, such as the Code of Ethics of the German Sociological Association or the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association.

Please note: Submissions may be made by all professors and staff members at Hochschule München. Unfortunately, students and external applicants are not eligible to submit applications.

In line with the ‘Berlin Declaration on Open Access to Knowledge in the Sciences and Humanities’, Hochschule München wishes to fulfil its social responsibility by facilitating and systematically promoting free and unrestricted access to scientific findings.

Gender issues in research and equality
Hochschule München regards equality as a cross-cutting priority that must be supported by the university’s entire network of stakeholders. Drawing on the findings of gender studies, Teaching, research, the knowledge transfer to society and the business sector, as well as supporting processes, are to be enriched by taking into account individual and structural differences between men and women, thereby further enhancing their quality.
The Gendered Innovations approach aims to design research and innovation in such a way that its benefits are felt by everyone, regardless of gender, age or other factors, whilst taking gender-specific impacts into account.
