View of the lake in Bled from a hill: a lake surrounded by trees, in the middle of the lake a small island with a church. At the back of the lake you can see the town of Bled and the fortress. In the background, mountains in clouds.

Partner universities listed by department

As a general rule, an Erasmus+ semester should take place at a partner university of your own department. A so-called 'Cross Over' involves additional organisational work for all parties involved and is only possible in rare cases.

Only at your department’s partner universities are you guaranteed to find lectures that match your subject area.

We know that at some partner universities a Cross Over semester is not possible. A Cross Over is generally not possible with partner universities in Ireland, Malta and the United Kingdom, as well as with ITÜ in Turkey.

Please always contact the International Office if you are planning a Cross Over. If you do not do so, your application may be unsuccessful as the partner university may not accept you.

Engineering Cross Over

In the field of engineering, there are a number of partner universities that are open to exchange students on all engineering degree programmes. These are listed under 'Engineering Cross Over' in the table below.
This does not mean that all degree programmes offered by Hochschule München are also available at the partner university. You should therefore check the course offerings at the partner university before submitting your application. However, an exchange is theoretically possible.

The same applies to interdisciplinary degree programmes, such as those offered by MUC.DAI. Students of business informatics should please refer to the information provided for the partner universities of Department 07.

Places are allocated by the Departmental Coordinator of the contracting department. Students from the contracting department are given priority when places are allocated.

Are you interested in a partner university that is not listed under 'Engineering Cross Over'? Are you not an engineering student?

If you are nevertheless interested in an exchange at a partner university within another department, please first check whether there are enough courses available for you at that university. You must always contact your Erasmus+ coordinator at the International Office and the Departmental Coordinator of the relevant department first. The Departmental Coordinator must allocate a place to you, and the International Office must enquire with the partner university whether a student from a different subject area can be accepted. Otherwise, you will only be able to choose subjects from the exchange area agreed in the Erasmus+ contract.

You can find the detailed procedure for a planned crossover in our information sheet (available in German only).
