In this seminar, scientific staff members are given an overview of the tools they need for their academic work. The focus is on practical guidance for the individual stages: project design, research and knowledge management, structuring, and academic writing.

Target audience: scientific staff and doctoral candidates at the start of their careers

Content: The course covers practical content and guidelines (tools) on the following topics:

Practical Aspects of Academic Work
Work planning and self-management
Requirements and formal aspects of an academic paper: quality criteria, structural format, citation rules and systems
The process of writing a dissertation: choosing a topic and finding your bearings, gathering and reviewing material, structuring and organising, writing.
The use of AI in research
