Veranstaltung
This workshop teaches doctoral candidates and research staff members about professional research data management (RDM). Improve and streamline your research process by managing your data effectively.
18 Nov 2026 - 25 Nov 2026
Introductory workshop
Target audience
Research staff members and doctoral candidates at the start of their doctorate. The best time to take part is at the start of your research work at the HM, i.e. ideally in your first year.
Requirements
None. However, you are welcome to bring along details of which (research) data you are storing and where (e.g. a mind map).
Learning objectives and content
- Managing research data: Storing research data (raw data, processed data) in such a way that it can be put to good use is key to innovation and the reuse of knowledge.
- Drawing up a data management plan: Thorough planning and a clear description of how data is stored and can be reused (including for your own purposes), along with further information, form the basis for effective data management.
- Keep FAIR in mind: findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable – what does this mean and how can it be implemented in a research project?
