Energy saving at HM
Saving energy is not something that is limited to just one area of life. It affects our entire way of life. The energy crisis and the government’s energy-saving measures currently make it necessary to rethink our everyday behaviour. Regardless of this, HM is committed to climate protection and Bildung für Nachhaltige Entwicklung (BNE) (Education for Sustainable Development) and has signed a voluntary commitment to implement these goals. With sustainability as a defining feature, it is committed to driving its implementation forward responsibly across the entire institution.
Everyone at HM can make a tangible contribution and take responsibility for a sustainable future. Here is a list of ways in which you can take small steps, find out more and share these experiences with others.

Until now, energy has always been there, everywhere and at all times. What does the energy transition mean for Germany? Where do we stand today? Does taking shorter showers already make a meaningful difference?
This can be experienced in a clear and fact-based way through the Scrollytelling project based on the book *Renewable Energy: Understanding and Getting Involved*, by authors including HM Professor Christian Holler and LMU Professor Harald Lesch. In future, HM projects on the cross-cutting theme of energy and sustainability will also be linked here.
