Oskar Awards Ceremony at HM

Every year, the university hosts the grand Oskar von Miller ceremony at the Roter Würfel on the Lothstraße campus. On this occasion, the HM honours members of the university community who have made outstanding contributions in the categories of teaching, research, degree programmes, doctoral studies and practice partners.

Outstanding sporting achievements
This year’s Oskar von Miller ceremony was themed around ‘sports films’, and so the focus was on the ‘sporting spirit’ of the award winners in the field of academia. The evening was hosted by Christina Kaufmann, Head of Public Relations Office, and Dr Sven Winterhalder, Head of Strategic Advancement Office/Chief Strategy Officer. Musical interludes were provided by the ‘Duo Notenlos’.

• Adrian Strohmer in the bachelor's degree category
• Melanie Geigenberger in the master's degree category
• Prof. Dr. Verena McIntosh in the Teaching category
• Dr Frédéric Lapierre in the doctorate category
• Prof. Dr. Stefan Wallentowitz in the Research category
• Maria Neugschwender, Marius Neugschwender and Ka Hou Leong in the ‘Practice Partner’ category for the start-up Noxon
