Graduation at the new MUC.HEALTH campus: Congratulations to the students on the ANP master's degree programme
First graduation at the new MUC.HEALTH campus: We congratulate this year’s cohort of ANP Master’s students on reaching this milestone.
06/08/2026
In the summer semester of 2026, we celebrated a special milestone at Hochschule München: our students on the career-integrated Master’s degree programme in Advanced Nursing Practice graduated. What makes this special is that this is the first cohort to have graduated from the new interdisciplinary Munich Campus for Health and Engineering (MUC.HEALTH) .
The programmedirectors, Prof. Dr Christine Boldt and Prof. Dr Markus Witzmann, welcomed all participants to the closing event. The presence of numerous students from the second and fourth semesters further highlighted the lively exchange of ideas and the strong sense of camaraderie amongst all the students.
Focus on two projects that are particularly patient-centred
Whilst some students were celebrating their graduation, third- and fourth-semester students once again presented exciting project work. Two projects in particular stood out due to their direct relevance to patient care:
In his study ‘Sicher am Zug’, Alexander Resch, MSc candidate (ANP), investigated the extent to which the confidence of nursing staff on a general cardiac surgery ward in removing chest drains can be measurably improved. His work impressively demonstrates how Advanced Practice Nurses, as change agents, bring scientific evidence into everyday clinical practice.
In her thesis ‘LUMEN-ICU’, Karin Stübner, MSc (cand.) ANP, examined the combined use of bright light therapy and vertical mobilisation in intensive care patients. The results of her case series suggest that patients find these measures pleasant, relieving and beneficial – a promising approach for a ‘healing environment’ concept.
Congratulations to all our graduates – and we wish all the cohorts continuing their studies every success on their future journeys!
