In the Climate City Dash 2.0 project, Munich, Dortmund, and Heidelberg worked together to explore how effective climate measures can be developed and implemented.
After two intensive years, the project has now come to a close. The collaboration among the three cities has resulted in a joint final report titled “Networked Transformation: How Three Cities Turn Climate Protection into a Collective Effort Through Data and Cooperation,” which compiles the most important lessons learned and tips for other municipalities on their path to climate neutrality:
Our key insight:
Whether it’s data collection, co-creation, or intermunicipal exchange: Joint climate protection succeeds when responsibilities, goals, and stakeholders are clearly defined from the outset, and collaboration is understood as a continuous, practical process rather than a one-time initiative.
A big thank you to all project partners in Munich, Dortmund, and Heidelberg—together with UnternehmerTUM, TU Dortmund, and ClimateView—for two years of learning and shaping the future together!
