Under the motto “Learning for a Responsible Life” TEDxHM brought together professors, staff, and students to share powerful ideas, personal insights, and bold visions for the future.
The focus was not only on academic knowledge, but also on real-life lessons—failures, turning points, and learning moments that shape us and our society.

TEDxHM 2026 Highlights
Global ideas, right here on our campus
The TEDxHM event is a special highlight: for the first time, Munich University of Applied Sciences is collaborating with TED to offer students and guests a unique experience. The event enables direct contact with inspiring speakers from all over the world – right on campus. The diversity of perspectives creates a fresh, varied, and future-oriented atmosphere. And best of all, you can be part of the entire process.
TEDxHM: Sharing ideas, broadening horizons
In the spirit of discovering and spreading ideas, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxHM, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxHM event, TED Talks videos and live speakers are combined to create deep discussions and connections in a small group setting.
Behind TEDxHM stands a dedicated team of coaches who work closely with our speakers throughout the entire journey, from the first idea to the final moment on stage. With experience in storytelling, presentation, academic thinking, and performance, they challenge, support, and refine each talk with great care and professionalism.
Our TEDxHM coaches are: Andreas Müller, Kai Hermsen, Nicole Brunnhuber, Lars Schepp, Brigitte Neumann, Evgeniya Beba-Akulova.
TED is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to discovering, debating and spreading ideas that spark conversation, deepen understanding and drive meaningful change. Our organization is devoted to curiosity, reason, wonder and the pursuit of knowledge — without an agenda. We welcome people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world and connection with others, and we invite everyone to engage with ideas and activate them in your community.
