E-portfolios in higher education: potential, challenges and future prospects
Online event
17 Nov 2026 10:00 - 15:00
The onlineconference is being organised by Hochschule München in collaboration with SIG ePortfolio. We warmly invite you to attend – and would like to encourage you to play an active part in shaping the programme by submitting your own contribution.
The online conference will focus on the use and furtherdevelopment of e-portfolios in higher education. Together, we would like to discuss tried-and-tested teaching approaches, specific application scenarios, technical and organisational experiences, and current challenges. There will be a particular focus on the Mahara e-portfolio software.
Target audience:
This event is aimed at lecturers who already use e-portfolios or who would like to integrate them into their teaching in future. It is also aimed at staff members involved in the implementation, administration, pedagogical guidance or support of an e-portfolio system such as Mahara or similar.
Registration
We look forward to receiving your registration and contributions, and to a wide-ranging, practically-oriented exchange of ideas!
Call for Participation – share your experiences!
Do you already use e-portfolios in your teaching, are you helping to introduce them, or do you support lecturers and students with their portfolio work? If so, why not share your experiences and help shape the event by submitting your own short contribution?
We are particularly seeking contributions on:
- specific teaching and practical application scenarios,
- teaching approaches and question formats,
- Supporting learning, reflection and development processes,
- Reviews and feedback,
- Implementation, administration and support,
- Current challenges, proposed solutions and ideas for the future.
Insights into ongoing projects, initial practical experiences or projects that are not yet complete are also very much welcome. What matters is not a fully developed example of good practice, but a contribution that stimulates exchange and discussion.
Each presentation is allocated a maximum of 15 minutes. There will then be an opportunity for questions and discussion.
