Scientific Work (compulsory module)
In this seminar, scientific staff members are given an overview of the tools they need for their academic work. The focus is on practical guidance for the individual stages: project design, research and knowledge management, structuring, and academic writing.

Target audience: Scientific staff and doctoral candidates at the start of their roles
Content: The course covers practical content and guidelines (tools) on the following topics:
- Practical Aspects of Academic Work
- Work planning and self-management
- Requirements and formal aspects of an academic paper: quality criteria, structural format, citation rules and systems
- The process of writing a dissertation: choosing a topic and finding your bearings, gathering and reviewing material, structuring and organising, writing.
- The use of AI in research
