Veranstaltung
Research2Market: Successfully marketing research findings (compulsory elective module)
This course is aimed at doctoral candidates who wish to explore whether their research project has the potential to yield more than just an academic publication: an application, a collaboration with a practice partner, or, ideally, even a viable business model.
6 Nov 2026 09:00 - 17:00
During the workshop, participants will, where possible, work on their own topic, identify potential users, customers and commercialisation pathways, and develop initial ideas on how research findings can be put to practical use and made economically viable. By the end of the day, participants should:
- be familiar with the various pathways for transfers and exploitation of research findings
- reflect on the economic potential of their own research project
- be able to distinguish between relevant users, customers and payers
- outline an initial transfer-oriented business model
- be aware of specific opportunities for engagement with the transfer centre, start-up advisory services or industry partners
