Making BYOD audits a success

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) opens up new opportunities for conducting digital examinations at Hochschule München. At the same time, the use of students’ own devices places particular demands on technology, organisation and communication.

Learning objectives

In this concise training course, you will gain an overview of the basics of BYOD audits:

• What does BYOD stand for?
• What requirements must be met?
• What challenges, risks and success factors need to be taken into account?

Drawing on practical experience gained during the pilot scheme at Hochschule München, we demonstrate how BYOD examinations can be prepared and conducted, and the role played by technical examination environments, support structures and organisational processes.

In addition, you will learn about the support services offered by the Digital Examinations Competence Centre and gain an insight into the resources and framework conditions available for the successful implementation of BYOD examinations.

Lecturers who are planning to hold digital exams using students’ own devices or who would like to find out more about the possibilities and limitations of BYOD.
