AI Playground: Discover, discuss, apply – new tools for your research (elective module)
The workshop supports doctoral candidates and scientific staff at HM in discovering and reflecting on the potential of AI in their day-to-day research work, and in utilising it in a targeted manner for research-related work processes.
12 Jan 2027 - 26 Jan 2027
Content
AI tools offer fascinating possibilities: from creating and structuring academic texts, to organising and analysing the literature, right through to visualising and communicating complex results. At the same time, new questions and challenges arise: where does AI provide meaningful support? Where do limitations, uncertainties – and grey areas – lie?
This workshop is aimed at anyone who wishes to explore the potential of AI, reflect on it and make targeted use of it in their research. The idea is to learn from one another and discover new things together – from lesser-known AI applications and clever prompting to the skilful combination of multiple tools.
The focus is on collegial exchange, practically-oriented tool-sharing and the joy of experimentation. Together, we will explore and discuss how AI can enrich research (and teaching) – and when critical reflection is warranted.
Target audience
Scientific staff and doctoral candidates at HM
