Geodata management!

Geodata can be used to investigate the world’s big questions: whether they concern climate change, social inequalities or the development of smart cities. However, it all depends on how geodata is structured, analysed and presented. Geographical phenomena require bespoke algorithms that go beyond pure statistics, as the spatial context is highly specific. Stochastic assumptions – such as the idea that the population might be evenly distributed – are fundamentally flawed.

Why choose HM?

I enjoy working on and discussing projects with young people, as well as sharing my experience and knowledge. That is why a professorship at a leading university has always been my goal. Just a few years ago, I couldn’t have imagined living south of the ‘Weißwurst Equator’. Since then, I have come to appreciate and love Munich.

Are puppet shows just for children? Not at all! You can enjoy an entertaining Thursday evening at the Kleines Spiel puppet theatre in Munich. My favourite production is *Macbeth*.
