... and my motivation for teaching there:

Vehicle powertrains – there is currently more happening in the field of vehicle powertrains than there has been for 100 years. The variety of drive systems, with all their different forms and components, has made this field significantly broader and more complex. And what’s particularly exciting is that no one can say for certain which technologies will prevail or where this journey is headed. Being able to play a part in this journey by preparing students as best I can for the increased demands and challenges is a great pleasure.

Why choose HM?

I have been living in Munich for over 20 years, having been employed here by a leading employer straight after completing my studies. And the automotive industry boasts a large number of leading employers in southern Germany and the Munich region. Furthermore, the greater Munich area is extremely densely populated, with a large catchment area and a correspondingly high number of students. I would like to bring together the respective interests of the students and those of the leading employers. This can be achieved exceptionally well at Hochschule München.

My highlight of the year

Of course, it was 1 September, when the course officially began at the university. It was almost exactly a year after my application was submitted, without knowing exactly what to expect. But that wasn’t necessary, because it exceeded all my expectations anyway.

My leisure tip

We’re lucky to have the Alps – a wonderful piece of nature – right on our doorstep. Any kind of leisure activity there is highly recommended. My personal favourites: mountain biking in summer and skiing in winter.
