Joint Research Training Group on Building Services Engineering & Energy Efficiency

The Collaborative Research Training Group on Building Services Engineering & Energy Efficiency (KGk.) was, until August 2022, a thematic postgraduate centre comprising various subject areas at Hochschule München and the Technical University of Munich, with the following objectives:

• An interdisciplinary, holistic approach to addressing research questions in the fields of building physics, building services engineering and energy supply and conversion
• Academic qualifications of early-career researchers in the natural sciences and engineering within a previously heterogeneous research environment
• Enabling a structured doctorate programme to be completed within 3.5 years, with a broad-based qualification profile
