Strategic Advancement Office (HE)
The Strategic Advancement Office is a staff unit within the President’s Office and reports directly to the President. It plays a preparatory and advisory role for the university management and, on their behalf, provides support in the development and implementation of university-wide, forward-looking strategies and concepts.

Our responsibilities
- Design and implementation of university management tools, such as university development planning, university contract and internal competitions, along with the associated process and workshop frameworks
- Development of appropriate measures and projects to implement the strategic objectives defined in these processes
- Identification of and application for suitable third-party funding schemes (BMFTR, StMWK, DAAD, Stifterverband and others)
- in individual cases, the management of the resulting projects, which are usually university-wide
In addition, the Strategic University Development office coordinates university-wide activities related to the cross-cutting themes of gender and diversity as well as sustainability. Close collaboration with stakeholders in the departments, the administration and specialist units such as the Entrepreneurship (SCE) Centre, the Centre for Continuing Education and the university’s women’s representatives is essential to this.
