Student ID card
Your student ID card is an essential tool throughout your studies, offering a wide range of practical functions that support your daily life on campus.
After the successful set up of your HM account you can activate the HM App and access your digital student ID card, ensuring you are fully equipped as you begin your time at Hochschule München. Find out more!
- You always have your ID card with you (Even if you don't have a signal, the card will remain available offline for 5 days after the last update)
- Changes to your information (e.g., name or degree program) are displayed automatically and immediately
- Once you have successfully re-registered, your ID card is automatically renewed
- Additional features are planned for the future in conjunction with the ID card
- User ID for the libraries
- Access to buildings, laboratories and computer rooms
- Login for online services (e.g. exam registration)
- Identification during examinations
- European Student Card
Following successful re-registration, the validity period of the ID is renewed automatically.
If you have lost your PIC you must apply for a new one at the IT Services using the form "PIC-Neuvergabe-Formblatt". A new PIC will then be sent to you.
If you are leaving Munich and would like to withdraw the remaining money from your student ID card, please go to the Information Point of Studierendenwerk (ground floor in the cafeteria, Lothstr. 13d).
