At Hochschule München, there are two ways in which you can actively support academic education:

• Endowed professorships – these enable the establishment of new chairs, thereby setting academic priorities precisely where your sector has the greatest need for expertise and the next generation of scholars.
• Support for academic staff members – Funding staff posts also makes a direct contribution to the quality of teaching and research and creates scope for innovation.

Both models share the same aim: to closely integrate practically-oriented aspects with academic excellence – for the benefit of the students, the university and, not least, your company.

Case Studies: Digitalisation in the Construction Industry

A striking example of this is the collaboration with the Bavarian Construction Industry Association. Thanks to its generous support, an endowed professorship in the field of ‘Digitalisation in Construction’ has been established at HM. As a result, students learn to work with modern digital methods such as Building Information Modelling (BIM) right from the start – and thus enter professional life well-prepared to meet the demands of a changing construction industry.

At present, endowed professorships are already established in three departments at Hochschule München – a clear sign of how business and academia can shape the future together.
