Dialogue forums in partnership with the Munich Re Foundation

Once a year, HM:UniverCity and the Munich Re Foundation host a dialogue forum at Hochschule München. The focus is on the pressing issues of our time – with a view to environmental sustainability and social responsibility.

Through open events and lively panel discussions, we bring people together to engage in dialogue: representatives from the worlds of politics, academia, business and civil society come together to share their perspectives and discuss issues on an equal footing – openly, critically and with curiosity.

Since 2019, the dialogue forums have provided a space for discussion, new ideas and joint reflection on the future. Always with the aim of shaping the future together – openly, thoughtfully and with commitment.

Working together towards a climate-neutral city!

Climate change affects us all! Heatwaves, droughts and floods are becoming increasingly noticeable in Germany too, and the pressure to act more swiftly towards climate neutrality is growing. The City of Munich has set itself the target of becoming climate neutral by 2035. But how can we achieve this?

Between aspiration and reality

A successful energy and heating transition is a key part of this objective. Munich aims to be the first major city in Germany to replace fossil fuels such as gas, coal and heating oil with renewable energy sources across the board in the fight against the climate crisis.
