Competence Profile: Sustainability
The competence profile for sustainability is characterised above all by holistic thinking, a spirit of innovation and a sense of responsibility. The competencies include
- the ability to recognise the complexity of material and social living conditions and how they are interlinked within global contexts and interdependencies
- to analyse and evaluate environmental, economic and socio-cultural aspects
- an awareness of the limited nature of resources and the incorporation of this awareness into the planning and implementation of projects
- responsible decision-making, planning and action
- Risk assessment, managing complexity and uncertainty
- aligning one’s own actions with the moral principles of intergenerational justice, global justice, resource conservation and a holistic approach
