Student Assistants in (online) teaching
Strengthening future skills
Improving (online) teaching with students
Through the ‘Student Projects for Future Skills’ funding programme, the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education is offering funding for a Student Assistant for up to 8 hours per week for the 2026/27 winter semester. All lecturers at HM are eligible to apply. Approximately 5 projects can be funded.
Funding is provided to support collaboration between lecturers and student projects that advance topics such as sustainability, digitalisation, innovation, social responsibility or higher education development.
The aim is to give students the opportunity to contribute their ideas to courses as active participants, whilst developing important future skills such as sustainability literacy, self-organisation, participatory skills, media literacy, etc.
What support does IL offer?
The recruitment process and the costs associated with the SHKs will be covered by the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education. Funding will initially be provided until the end of 2026, for up to 8 hours per week. Subject to the availability of funds, the funding may be extended to cover the entire lecture period of the 2026/27 winter semester. It is possible to continue employing or re-employ staff who are already in post.
