Practical Days
Interdisciplinary, varied and Bavaria-wide ‘hands-on days’ for students. These practical days are one of the largest career events in Bavaria – a collaborative project between the Hochschuljobbörse (job portal) and 19 career services at Bavarian universities, including the HM’s CAREER Centre.
The perfect opportunity to explore your career options!
Want to get to know companies and make valuable contacts for the future? You can do all that at the work experience days!
Unfortunately, the event has had to be cancelled this summer for organisational reasons. We are very sorry about this and thank you for your understanding.
The next practical training days will take place from 1 to 12 March 2027!
Are you looking for a work-study position or a topic for your final assignment? Or are you still unsure whether you’ve chosen the right industry or career path to suit you best? Or perhaps you’ve already made a choice and are now keen to make direct contact with your preferred employer?
Then the 2027 Practical Days are just the thing for you!
Bavarian organisations and companies are opening their doors to give students the chance to get to know them as employers first-hand. Students gain a first-hand, immediate insight into day-to-day working life within the company. An interactive, varied and, above all, practically-oriented programme takes every participant a big step closer to their dream job!
Dates and registration?
The work experience days will take place from 1 to 12 March 2027, either on-site at the participating companies or online.
From 11 January 2027, students will be able to register with participating companies and organisations for the 2027 work experience days.
Please note that places are limited, so please register in good time.
Please note: The registration process for individual corporate events is kept simple. In most cases, a brief, formal email stating your name, degree programme and university is sufficient. A CV and cover letter are not required!
Registration information
Your registration with the companies or organisations is binding. This applies to every work placement day, regardless of whether it is organised by the companies as a virtual or face-to-face event.
Log in using your university email address. This will verify your status as a student at the university and ensure that any reply from the company can be delivered to you without fail.
Please let the company know in good time if you are unwell or are unexpectedly unable to attend for any other reason. Please bear in mind that companies put a great deal of effort into preparing for the work experience day and need certainty in their planning. Furthermore, it is simply a matter of good manners and respectful behaviour.
Legal notice regarding attendance at the practical sessions
Visits to and activities at companies as part of, or in connection with, the work experience days are undertaken exclusively on a voluntary basis, at the sole discretion of the participants; they do not form part of the teaching and study programme, nor are they any other university events organised by your department or the university as a whole.
The university is not involved in, nor is it responsible for, the arrangement, organisation or other management of such visits or activities. We therefore draw your attention to the fact that, as a participant, you alone are responsible for bearing any risk of accident arising from or in connection with your voluntary visits to or activities at companies as part of the work experience days, and for ensuring that you have adequate private insurance cover.
