TÜV-certified Quality Management Specialist (QMF)
Course and examination
As a core component of the TÜV SÜD Academy’s modular QM training programme (Foundation Level), the ‘Quality Management Specialist – QMF-TÜV’ course provides participants with a universal entry point into a career in quality management in accordance with the ISO 9001:2015 quality management standard.
The expertise gained on the course provides ideal preparation for contributing to the development and maintenance of a process-oriented quality management system. It enables participants to provide constructive support to an organisation’s QM team – particularly in the areas of documentation, quality methods, and the management of measuring equipment and testing procedures.
Quality management specialists are in high demand on the labour market because, on the one hand, they possess the necessary expertise in quality management and, on the other hand, they are able to identify key opportunities for improvement in practice.
This is precisely where quality management comes in: activities specifically planned in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 boost the productivity of organisations in today’s increasingly dynamic environment. At the same time, quality management ensures a continuous improvement process aimed at safeguarding customer satisfaction and, consequently, the long-term success of organisations.
In collaboration with the TÜV Süd Academy in Munich, we’re providing you with this first QM module to help you on your career path. It may make your start in your career a little easier, and you can build on it later with further training. Enjoy!

Course description
The aim of the Quality Management Specialist course is to teach the fundamentals of implementing a quality management system and applying quality assurance tools. The Quality Management Specialist should be able to support the Quality Management Representative within the organisation. The Quality Management Representative (QMB) course builds on this course.
Bachelor's degree students: those on a work-study programme or those with vocational training from the 1st semester onwards; all others, preferably from the 4th semester onwards

Once you have received confirmation of your registration from the Career Center, you will be sent a link by email allowing you to register directly for the exams with TÜV SÜD.
The multiple-choice exam will take place online at a time of your choosing after the course, between 7 August 2026 and 9 August 2026. It will take approximately 1 hour.
An initial assessment of your performance in the exam can be provided immediately after the exam. You will then be notified of your final exam result by email next week.
You will receive your QMF-TÜV Quality Management Specialist certificate from TÜV Süd once you have passed the examination.
Registration is only possible via the Career Center’s events calendar .
You may cancel your booking up to the registration deadline of 5 July 2026, in which case we will refund the Career Center participation fee. If you cancel after the registration deadline, the participation fee will not be refunded.
You will receive the course materials digitally via email from TÜV SÜD after the registration deadline, and they will also be handed out to you in a folder on the first day of the course.
