Students4Refugees
A university initiative is championing the cause of refugee academics: Students4Refugees is a social project run by students at LMU Munich and Hochschule München. It is aimed at people who were studying or wanted to study before they fled their home countries. Three times a week during the semester, Students4Refugees offers special German courses taught by students. The courses include excursions so that learners can put their theoretical knowledge into practice on site.

Catholic University Community
A new working group called Roncalli&Refugees is currently being set up within the KHG: it is open to all students who wish to get involved in refugee work. The Catholic University Community also supports the ‘Active for Refugees’ initiative. It supports refugees by offering leisure activities such as sports events, city walks, concert visits and film evenings, as well as German language tuition in initial reception centres and for unaccompanied minor refugees.
