Student representation
Student representation – what is it?
The elected student representatives from a department form the department student representation. Where the number of students in a department does not exceed 2,000, the department student representation consists of seven members.
If this figure is exceeded, the number of representatives increases by one for every 1,000 students or part thereof. The student representative is the person who received the most votes in the election.
The remaining members of the department student representation are those students, in the required number, who (would) be allocated additional seats in the election for members of the departement Council. The department student representation is responsible for dealing with faculty-related student matters.
The student representative manages day-to-day business and implements decisions.
Commitment
Students who want to get involved and make a difference are warmly invited to drop by their student representation and get involved. The members of the student representations work on a voluntary basis and welcome any support. Working together is fun and you get to meet lots of new people from other years.
