Learning Center

The idea for creating a Learning Center at Hochschule München arose in 2009 as part of the ‘Future Workshop’, in collaboration with students, lecturers, administrative staff and the university management. The aim was to create a meeting place where interdisciplinary collaboration could be enhanced and efficient, sustainable learning promoted. The former cafeteria was converted into a Learning Center in 2009 and fitted out with study spaces. Since then, the Learning Center has been available to students at Hochschule München for independent study. In addition, events focusing on learning and stress management, as well as cross-departmental tutorial sessions, are offered. These are not subject-specific tutorials, such as those offered by the departments to accompany lectures.The aim is to provide students seeking advice with immediate assistance in clarifying individual queries and thereby guide them towards self-directed learning.


TUTORIALS
In the summer semester of 2026, the cross-faculty tutorials will take place on site at the Learning Center from 14 April 2026 until the end of July 2026:
Engineering Mechanics: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 pm to 6 pm
Mathematics: Tuesdays from 3 pm to 6 pm
The tutors can be found in the Learning Center at the long table in the middle, next to the pillar.

Stress Management Workshop
In the summer semester 2026 on Tuesday, 14 April 2026, from 3 pm to approx. 5.30 pm. The workshop will take place online via ZOOM.
