Manufacturing 5.0 (Certificate) – People and Machines Working as a Team: Understanding and Utilising Digitalisation

The certificate course runs for a total of 6 days and is delivered through a combination of online modules and a block of face-to-face sessions in Munich. The first 3 days take place online, whilst the final 3 days are held on-site at the Logistics Laboratory at Hochschule München.

1. Proof of having successfully completed at least six semesters of theoretical studies (180 credit points).

Evidence provided during an aptitude interview to demonstrate that the aptitude required for participation in the certificate programme has been acquired through professional experience or by other means. The examination board decides on the applicant’s aptitude.
2. Evidence of at least one year’s relevant practical work experience. In exceptional cases, this may be acquired only after the start of the course.
3. Foreign applicants are exempt from providing proof of language proficiency if they have lived and worked in a German-speaking country for more than three years. In other cases, the examination board will decide, following an interview with the applicant, whether they have sufficient knowledge of the German language to take part in the certificate programme.
The course takes place during the following periods:
22 to 24 April and 28 to 30 April 2026
18 to 20 November and 25 to 27 November 2026
Tuition fees amount to €3,900 plus a semester fee of €97, as well as accommodation costs where applicable.
The price includes participation, training materials, lunch, as well as drinks, coffee and cake during the breaks. Participants are asked to book their own accommodation. We would be happy to assist you with this.
The course is ECTS-eligible. This means you can have the course subject to academic credit transfer at your university, for a total of 5 ECTS credits. For this reason, participation in the course can – if you wish! – be concluded with an examination.
