International PhD opportunities

Doctorates can also be organised in collaboration with a foreign university. In such cases, doctoral candidates are supervised by a tandem of supervisors from HM and a foreign university.

In the case of cooperative doctorates, the requirements for the doctorate are governed in particular by the regulations of the partner university abroad. It should be noted that doctoral regulations can vary considerably from country to country. Prospective students should therefore find out in detail in advance about the regulations and procedures at the partner university abroad.
